The Vedun ensemble (Mira Omerzel – Mirit, Mojka Žagar Gašperšič, Tine Omerzel Terlep) acts as a channel for the guided sound of the Cosmic Intelligence from the Source, as for the energy frequencies granted by the Universal Master Teachers through musical instruments of folk traditions worldwide, once used by various ethnic entities for evolving consciousness and for spiritual healing.

It acts as a medium for the sound brought on through cosmic guidance for all those present, for self-healing of all bodies (mental, astral and etheric) and of the soul (and thus indirectly for the healing of the physical body), for gaining awareness and progressing on the path towards one’s
self-realisation.

Mojka teaches natural vocal techniques and vocal self-healing. She is the first pedagogue teaching voice nourishment of this kind in Slovenia.
Tine is a mechanical engineer and otherwise singer, trumpet player and percussionist, embarked on his musical journey at ten years of age.
Meanwhile, Mirit holds a PhD in ethnomusicology and is a cosmic telepath.
The three of them also act as co-artists creating within the Trutamora Slovenica and Truta ensembles.

Mira Omerzel – Mirit, Ph.D., and the ensemble are dedicated to investigating the functioning of the sound-producing consciousness. In the world of the expanded sound-creating consciousness, decomposing or moulding within the scope of whether the unsubstantial or the substantial world, we gain access to a multidimensional world of sound vibrations, surpassing our restricted linear mind (time and space), as well as the given physical reality. During the performance, the members enter the transcendental sonic experience of consciousness, attaining cosmic telepathy, where sound surpasses mere physical frequency and is (according to traditions thousands of years old) characterised by its very own temperature and energy, structure, volume, colour, resonance (beauty), harmony or disonance (disharmony in the frequency Universe), an “appearance” made up of the Universal light and sound codes and an awareness (information). They therefore commence an experience which by way of “guided movement” and “guided sound” brings about the very sound elements required for our development, raising our awareness, creating, healing …

In fact, during the past centuries and millennia, creating music (spiritual healing) in a transcendental state of mind was known to be the only valuable musical practice of irreproducible sound, appertaining to a wise one, a healer or a shaman. The performers use diverse vocal techniques and musical instruments and sound producing implements from the world heritage, primarily intended to harmonise of the (frequency) realm of human thought, feelings, body and soul, and extend the realm of sensory perception, be it auditory, visible, palpable … as well as intuition.
Thus the spiritual wisdom of the nearly forsaken tradition again makes way to encounter the need and search of a contemporary individual in our time.

VEDUN is an ancient Slovenian name descended from the old Slavic heritage. It denotes a performer of healing rites: a bajalnik (male) or bajevka (female), i.e. one who heals with words = sound, also the vorožec, one who is in possession of secret knowledge and performs spiritual-healing ceremonies. The name was assumed from our Slavic heritage representing one who is capable of “healing” the soul also by making use of sound formulas and words, therefore employing voices, vowels, consonants, sounds, tones, noises, rattles … all of which constitute a sound language – a sonic tool. The word Vedun arises from the Slovenian verb vedeti, to know, which originates from the ancient Indo-European language heritage – the word vidja (cognition, knowledge), videti - to see, the Vedas, the Vedanta ...
